More than one city
The Macedonians were at the height of their power under Alexander the Great. As the empire grew so did the territory. Alexander conquered more then half the known world. His empire was from the Ionian Sea to Northern India. The capital was Babylon. Records say that Alexander founded 70 cities, but records are shown only of 16. Since the houses were built of mud walls many of the cities just crumbled. There is Heart, which is in Afghanistan which was then in Aria. Another city in Arachosia, modern day Afghanistan is Ghanzni. Another city was in Margaine called Merv. Alexander also founded Termez in what is now Uzbekistan (Alexandercities). The most famous city he founded was Alexandria, which is in Egypt. It had a population of one million (Allaboutalexander).
