Natural resources


        The Mauryan Civilization was rich in natural resources.  They had excellent farm land and many animals.  They had horses and cows and elephants.  Parrots and turtles were important to.  There were botanical gardens where medicinal plants were grown for the people.  Map India is known for its spices.  As you can see on the map below ivory and wood were also prescious natrural resources in India.  Cloth and semiprescious stones were abundant as well.  They had a great amount of stone which was used in  art and pillar edicts.  These materials drove the Mauryan economy.  They used these things
