Relationship to Jerusalem

In the year of 332BCE Alexander the Great conquered Jerusalem. Alexander swept into Syria taking Palestine in 332BCE, the Jews had willingly submitted to Alexander. Alexander also conquered Egypt in the year of 332BCE and founded the city of Alexandria. The city was named after him and it was slightly west of the Nile River Delta. On his invasion of Palestine he showed great consideration to the Jews, spared Jerusalem, and let the Jews come settle in his newly made city Alexandria.
