Public Service in Alexandria
The people in ancient Macedonia were all asked to provide some sort of
public service.
A couple options to fill this request were serving in the military, helping
with public architecture,
or even serving for the king. Since Alexander was such a great general
at war, many citizens
shows to fight for their territory or province. Another service for
the public was to serve in
structuring the church.
